Multiple sources in the banking industry say they have traced a practice of credit card fraud that suggests hackers have compromised point-of-sale registers in give shops and restaurants at a large number of Hilton Hotel and franchise properties across the United States. Hilton says it is investigating the claims.According to Krebs on Security, pentad banks make determined that a nag of credit card defrayal systems has a common thread in that they were all used at Hilton properties. Hilton runs Embassy Suites, Doubletree, Hampton inn and Suites, Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Resorts and Hilton hotels.
